About the role#
As a Sourcing Program Management Intern, you will join our Global Sourcing Team to help manage the components that keep our production running. You will work alongside engineers and manufacturers to ensure our material pipeline is stable and efficient. This role offers exposure to strategic sourcing, procurement, and the steps required to move products from development into mass production.
What you'll do#
- Manage relationships with current and potential suppliers to keep our material pipeline flowing.
- Support supply chain risk assessments and contingency planning.
- Develop strategies to optimize suppliers for cost, quality, and resilience.
- Conduct market analysis to provide insights for our sourcing decisions.
- Assist with purchase orders, invoices, and supplier communications.
- Participate in supplier sourcing, qualification, and negotiation processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure development builds transition to mass production on time.
What you'll need#
- A technical or engineering background.
- Interest in sourcing, contacting, and evaluating suppliers for quality, reliability, cost, and capacity.
- Ability to work across different teams and communicate effectively in-person and remotely.
- Strong organizational skills to manage concurrent projects and conversations.
- Leadership experience and exposure to project management.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Location & details#
- Location: Somerville, Massachusetts (On-site).
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through April).
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $1,575 to $1,950 per week, paid bi-weekly.
- This role is paid and does not offer housing or relocation assistance.
