About the role#
The National Lending Intern joins a cohort to support Forbright Bank’s lending teams, including Structured Finance, Healthcare, and Corporate Finance. You will gain subject matter expertise by working with a specific lending team for the summer. This is a 9-week, full-time internship consisting of 40 hours per week. You will participate in training and team building events while learning about multi-billion-dollar loan portfolios.
What you'll do#
- Perform industry research to understand macro trends and competitive environments.
- Aid the underwriting team in the due diligence process for loans.
- Assist in populating internal systems with pertinent information.
- Manage day-to-day borrowing activity for assigned loans.
- Perform financial analysis and projections.
- Participate in team meetings and complete ad hoc portfolio projects.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited institution.
- High school diploma.
- Strong financial statement analysis skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
