Manufacturing Engineer Material Handling Intern (Fall 2026)

About the role#

The Manufacturing Engineer Material Handling Intern will support the Manufacturing Engineering team in sustaining production line operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the implementation of engineering fixes. A primary project for this internship involves the installation of a material handling system for a new high-volume manufacturing facility.

What you'll do#

• Support daily Manufacturing Engineering activities and equipment upgrade projects.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on production issues.
• Implement and roll out engineering solutions.
• Present project summaries and accomplishments to the leadership team upon completion of the internship.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Minitab or JMP.
• Ability to register with your university for the internship.
• No previous experience is required.

Location & details#

• Location: Perrysburg, Ohio.
• Term: Fall 2026 (August 24, 2026 – December 18, 2026).
• Modality: Full-time, on-site.
• Compensation: Paid position ($18–$30/hr).
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 51 pounds, stand or walk for up to 12 hours, and wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators when necessary.
