Manufacturing Engineer Material Handling Intern

About the role#

The Manufacturing Engineer Material Handling Intern will support the Manufacturing Engineering team in sustaining production line operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the implementation of engineering fixes. A primary project for this internship involves the installation of a material handling system for a new high-volume manufacturing facility.

What you'll do#

• Support daily activities within the Manufacturing Engineering team.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on production issues.
• Implement and roll out engineering fixes.
• Assist with the roll out of new equipment upgrade projects.
• Present project summaries and accomplishments to the leadership team at the end of the term.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with Minitab or JMP software.
• No previous professional experience is required.

Location & details#

• Location: Perrysburg, Ohio.
• Term: Fall 2026 (August 24, 2026 – December 18, 2026).
• Modality: On-site, full-time.
• Compensation: Paid internship ($18–$25/hr).
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 51 pounds, stand or walk for up to 12 hours, and wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators when necessary.
