About the role#
Equity Research Analyst summer interns work directly with Portfolio Managers to contribute to the investment performance of the firm. You will take ownership of fundamental equity research coverage for a specific group of companies within a designated industry. Throughout the summer, you will receive mentorship and coaching from experienced members of the Equity Research team while building professional relationships across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Conduct in-depth company and industry analysis.
- Engage with management teams and industry experts.
- Evaluate customers, suppliers, and competitors.
- Build detailed financial models.
- Synthesize company, industry, and macroeconomic insights into actionable investment recommendations.
- Develop and articulate investment theses on assigned companies.
- Present your investment recommendations to Fidelity Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and senior leaders.
What you'll need#
- You are currently an MBA candidate in the class of 2028.
- You are a highly motivated, independent problem solver with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- You have demonstrated success throughout your academic career and other pursuits.
- You possess sound business judgment and a strong interest in financial markets.
- You thrive under pressure and time constraints in a risk-taking environment.
- You possess a healthy level of skepticism in your thought process.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The program runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Immigration sponsorship is not provided for this position.
- This is a paid position with a base salary range of $50 to $77 per hour.
