About the role#
Felsburg Holt & Ullevig is looking for a Water Resources Engineer Intern to join the team in Omaha. You will gain hands-on experience by working on various water resources projects, including stream restoration, floodplain analysis, and stormwater systems for transportation work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with drainage project design, including hydrology, hydraulics, and floodplain modeling.
- Support stormwater quality projects by designing green infrastructure and erosion control measures.
- Prepare compliance documentation, technical reports, and data collections.
- Use engineering software to help create plans, details, and cost estimates.
- Support the team during client presentations and meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program for Civil Engineering, preferably with a water resources emphasis.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, or GIS.
- Exposure to water quality, hydraulic, or hydrologic modeling software.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a team setting.
- Progress toward eligibility for an Engineering Intern (EI) Certificate.
- Prior coursework or internship experience in water resources is a plus.

- Compensation: Starts at $23.00 per hour.
