About the role#
Felsburg Holt & Ullevig is hiring a Transportation Planning Intern for the summer of 2027. You will join a project team and work under the guidance of professionals to gain hands-on experience in the civil engineering industry. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical analyses and write documentation for project teams.
- Assist with multi-modal transportation plans for cities and counties, corridor studies, transit development plans, bicycle and pedestrian plans, and environmental assessments.
- Conduct research on various transportation planning topics.
- Support client and stakeholder meetings and presentations.
- Provide public engagement support for planning projects.
What you'll need#
- You are a graduate or upper-level undergraduate student in Urban or Regional Planning or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent computer skills.
- Availability for the 3-month summer timeframe.
- Previous coursework and a demonstrated interest in transportation planning.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site in Omaha, Nebraska or Des Moines, Iowa.
- The pay rate is $23.00 per hour.
