About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago offers a paid summer internship for students interested in networking and computer engineering. This program provides direct exposure to bank operations and allows you to work in a regulatory environment dedicated to the public good. You will join us for 10 to 12 weeks starting in June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Engage in project-based assignments and professional development activities.
- Contribute to your assigned department.
- Build relationships with subject matter experts, bank leadership, and your fellow interns.
- Work in a collaborative environment that fosters inclusion.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A minimum 2.75 GPA.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present information verbally.
- Ability to interpret data and analytics to develop insights.
- A detail-oriented and self-motivated approach to work.
- Ability to interact professionally with internal and external clients.
- A balance of independent work habits and a team player attitude.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
