About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago offers a paid summer internship for students interested in information and library science. This program provides exposure to the operations of the central bank through project-based assignments and professional development. You will work alongside subject matter experts and Bank leadership to contribute to your assigned department.
What you'll do#
- Complete project-based assignments.

- Gain insights into the Federal Reserve System.
- Build professional relationships with leadership, subject matter experts, and other interns.
- Contribute to the daily operations of your assigned department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited academic program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-12 week program.
- Intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present information verbally.
- Ability to interpret data and analytics.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external clients.
- A balance of independent work habits and a team-oriented mindset.

- Compensation: $20 to $33 per hour, based on academic level.
