About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago offers a paid summer internship for students interested in data science and business analytics. This program provides direct exposure to bank operations through project-based assignments and professional development. You will work on-site for 10 to 12 weeks, contributing to your assigned department while building relationships with bank leadership and subject matter experts.
What you'll do#
- Engage in project-based assignments and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the goals of your assigned department.
- Interpret data and analytics to develop insights, support decision-making, and measure impact.
- Present information verbally and respond to questions from small to medium groups.
- Interact professionally with both internal and external clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A minimum GPA of 2.75.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A detail-oriented, self-motivated, and independent work style combined with a team-player attitude.
- Majors in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Economics.
