About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is hiring an intern for Summer 2027 to support its business survey team. This role helps the bank understand economic activity and the outlook of community leaders by managing regional survey panels. You will gain experience in research, data analysis, and professional communication while contributing to the mission of the central bank.
What you'll do#
- Recruit businesses for the survey panel through telephone and email outreach.
- Design and implement marketing strategies to boost survey participation.
- Track, analyze, and report on recruiting efforts to measure impact.
- Analyze participant data to identify response trends and improve the database.
- Conduct literature reviews on survey methodology.
- Participate in training sessions focused on survey methods.
What you'll need#
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
- An interest in survey research and enthusiasm for business surveys.

- Compensation: $23.50 per hour.
