    About the role#

    The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas is hiring undergraduate juniors and seniors for a paid Summer 2027 internship in the Internal Audit department. This role offers exposure to technology, cybersecurity, financial, and operational audits. You will work alongside professional auditors to perform tasks of low to moderate complexity and gain a broad view of the bank's control environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in audits of financial, compliance, operational, and information technology areas.
    • Determine if operating units follow bank policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
    • Assist with testing internal controls, including IT general controls, business process controls, and SOX testing.
    • Prepare audit work papers that document your procedures and testing results.
    • Use data analytics to evaluate full populations of transactions, activity logs, and access records.
    • Help draft written audit recommendations and reports for the auditee.
    • Build professional relationships with client personnel while applying risk assessment concepts.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
    • A major in accounting, finance, management information systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.
    • Completion of at least one course in accounting, audit, or risk, plus one course in a quantitative, information systems, or computer science subject.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.25.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
    • High integrity and the ability to handle confidential assignments.
    • Preferred experience includes SQL, Python, Power BI, GRC software, Microsoft Azure, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
    • Coursework or progress toward CIA, CISA, or CPA certifications is a plus.
