About the role#
Reporting to the Director of Data Governance, this internship offers current college students a chance to gain experience in document management and process improvement. You will work to modernize how the organization handles its Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role focuses on building the systems and structures required to keep internal documentation accurate and accessible.
What you'll do#
- Review and standardize existing SOPs across various departments.
- Use AI tools to assist with drafting, formatting, and quality checks.
- Validate the accuracy of procedures by working directly with business groups.
- Help design an organization-wide SOP management structure in SharePoint, including version control and review processes.
- Create simple, repeatable tools for future SOP development.
- Identify gaps or outdated procedures and recommend improvements.
- Document your progress for the Data Governance team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college (Freshman through Senior year).
- Pursuit of a degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude for research and document creation.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks on a flexible schedule.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with process improvement, technical writing, or SharePoint is a plus.

- Location: Akron, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate class schedules.
