About the role#
Schumacher is hiring a Hospitality Design Intern for the summer of 2027. This role supports the Hospitality brand in New York City by assisting with sampling, sales, and marketing efforts. You will help grow the brand presence within the hospitality and contract sectors while working 30 to 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Design Consultant and Project Manager teams to support client needs.
- Process memo orders and project shops.
- Cut and label custom fabrics and wallcoverings for designer approval.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to execute key department initiatives.
- Assist with daily operations and logistical tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or hold a bachelor's degree.
- A competitive GPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Ability to learn online software quickly.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- An interest in interior design, textiles, wallcoverings, and hospitality markets.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and positive approach to teamwork.
- Majors in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management are preferred.
