About the role#
As a Geoscience Intern at Expand Energy, you will join one of our geoscience teams within a business unit. You will work on an applied technical project alongside our staff and present your results to the team. This role focuses on professional growth and hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry. You are expected to work safely and follow company core values at all times.
What you'll do#
- Complete an applied technical project and present the results.
- Write technical papers and deliver presentations.
- Manage your time to meet project deadlines.
- Use Microsoft Office and learn company-specific software.
- Apply knowledge of horizontal drilling, geo-steering, and seismic interpretation.
- Work with geologic databases, mapping software, and laboratory analysis of samples.
- Collaborate with co-workers and external contacts.
What you'll need#
- A completed or in-progress Bachelor’s degree in a Geoscience program.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
- Preference for those pursuing or planning a Master’s degree in Geoscience with a 3.2 GPA or higher.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Previous internship or industry experience is a plus.
- Leadership experience or membership in student organizations is preferred.
