Sports Science Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

This is a 12–16 week hybrid internship program designed to provide practical experience in performance coaching and applied sports science. Interns will work within multidisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to athlete populations ranging from youth to elite professionals. The program integrates strength and conditioning education with hands-on data collection and analysis.

What you'll do#

• Learn and refine coaching skills under elite human performance mentors.
• Shadow and support training sessions with diverse athlete populations.
• Assist with athlete assessments, including force plates, velocity profiling, and motion capture.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret biomechanical and physiological data.
• Collaborate with coaches, therapists, and sports scientists to monitor athlete progress.
• Calibrate and maintain assessment technology.
• Participate in weekly educational lectures, practicums, and self-paced learning modules.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Sports Science, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences.
• A strong foundation in human performance and sports science concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Excel; experience with data software such as Python or R is preferred.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like force plates or motion capture is a plus.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain them.
