About the role#
This is a 12-16 week, unpaid internship program based at the Exos Performance Center in Plano, Texas. Participants are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week while gaining hands-on experience in a professional strength and conditioning environment. This role is designed for students seeking to refine their coaching skills and gain exposure to performance nutrition, physical therapy, and sport science applications.
What you'll do#
- Learn from human performance professionals to develop and refine coaching techniques.
- Shadow and participate in programming for a diverse athlete clientele, ranging from youth to professional levels.
- Build an in-depth understanding of the Exos Methodology through weekly lectures, presentations, and practicums.
- Engage in practical training focused on developing linear and multi-directional movement skills and program design.
- Complete self-paced learning modules.
- Gain the opportunity to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
- Ability to receive course credit for the internship, as this is an unpaid position.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- A strong passion for working with the athletic population.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
