About the role#
This is a 12-16 week, learning-intensive internship program based at the Exos Performance Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The role requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional strength and conditioning environment. Please note that this is an unpaid internship, and participants are responsible for securing their own housing, travel, and living expenses.
What you'll do#
- Refine coaching skills under the guidance of human performance professionals.
- Shadow and observe programming for diverse athlete populations, ranging from youth and collegiate to elite and professional levels.
- Participate in the Exos Methodology through weekly educational sessions, including lectures, presentations, and practicums.
- Engage in practical training regarding movement skills, application, and program design.
- Complete self-paced learning modules and gain exposure to performance nutrition, physical therapy, and sport science applications.
- Participate in the NFL Combine preparation program.
- Gain the opportunity to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, exercise science, nutrition, human resources, health administration, or public health.
- Ability to receive academic course credit for the internship experience.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
- A strong passion for working with the active and athletic population.
