About the role#
We are looking for a Clinical Lab Assistant to support our team with COVID-19 test processing. You will work under the direct supervision of Laboratory Leads and Clinical Laboratory Scientists to maintain lab operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the RNA extraction and PCR teams as needed.
- Manage lab inventory and place supply orders.
- Handle various clerical duties.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Medical Laboratory Science.
- At least six months of related laboratory experience or training.
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting, including specimen processing, lab support, and customer service.
- Proficiency with computer systems, specifically word processing and laboratory information systems.
- A strong grasp of good laboratory practices and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in San Francisco, California.
- The position is full-time at 40 hours per week.
- Weekend availability may be required.
