Project Intern

About the role#

Everus is seeking a Project Intern to join our construction team for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, paid position supports our project team, including the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent, in the execution of electrical construction projects. This role is on-site in Columbus, Ohio.

What you'll do#

• Assist the project team with daily operations to ensure successful project delivery.
• Gain exposure to electrical system design, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, materials procurement, cost control, and quality management.
• Manage project document coordination, including distributing drawings to bidders, organizing project files, and maintaining document distribution lists.
• Prepare essential project documentation such as submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and bid proposals.
• Develop and maintain project matrices for document control, including tracking RFIs, drawings, and change orders using Microsoft Excel.
• Create drawings for the installation of electrical components.
• Interface with architects, trade contractors, vendors, and management teams.

What you'll need#

• Completion of at least two years at an accredited college or university toward a B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• A valid driver's license and a safe driving record, as this position requires driving.
