This project internship supports the project team, including the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent, on electrical construction projects. The role provides exposure to electrical system design, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, materials procurement, cost control, and quality management.
What you'll do#
- Prepare project documentation including submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and bid proposals.
- Develop and maintain project matrices for document control, including tracking RFIs and drawings.
- Create drawings for the installation of electrical components.
- Coordinate the distribution of drawings and project documents to bidders and relevant project parties.
- Interface professionally with architects, trade contractors, vendors, and management teams.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years at an accredited college or university toward a B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong organizational and planning abilities.
- A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record, as this position requires driving.
- Ability to pass a background check, credit check, MVR, and drug screen if required.
- Note: Work authorization must be maintained for the duration of the internship; sponsorship is not provided.
