Internal Audit Intern - Summer 2026

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience within the Internal Audit function at Everus. Interns work alongside experienced professionals to contribute to real-world projects, gain exposure to corporate financial reporting, and develop skills within the electrical construction industry. Participants will uphold the company's 4EVER Strategy, which focuses on employees, value, execution, and relationships.

What you'll do#

• Assist with audits and tax reviews.
• Support the team with financial reporting tasks.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate on solutions.
• Learn and apply industry-relevant tools, software, and methodologies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate college or university program.
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interest in finance and internal audit within a corporate environment.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to projects.
• Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience.

Location & details#

• Location: On-site in Bismarck, North Dakota.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Start Date: May 18, 2026.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Compensation: $21 per hour.
• Employment Status: Full-time.
• Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. A background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen may be required.
