Communications Intern - Summer 2026

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience within the Everus Communications department. You will work alongside experienced professionals to contribute to real-world projects, including internal communications, marketing materials, and social media initiatives. Interns are expected to uphold and promote the company's 4EVER Strategy, which focuses on employees, value, execution, and relationships.

What you'll do#

• Learn the nuances of communications practices within a publicly traded Fortune 1,000 company.
• Assist in the development of communications materials tailored to diverse stakeholder needs.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with team members on project solutions.
• Gain proficiency in relevant industry tools, software, and methodologies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, with a preference for majors in Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A strong interest in corporate communications.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to professional projects.
• Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience; familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is considered a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Location & details#

• Location: On-site in Bismarck, North Dakota.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Compensation: Paid at an hourly rate of $21.
• Requirements: Candidates may be subject to a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
