About the role#
As a Landman Intern, you will join the West Virginia and Ohio Land Acquisition team. You will support the day-to-day energy land management of our core inventory of producing and future wells. This role acts as a public representative of the company, involving direct meetings with mineral owners and stakeholders in our operating communities.
What you'll do#
- Draft and negotiate new oil and gas leases and related agreements.
- Review lease obligations for existing and planned wells.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Operations Planning, Permitting, Title, Business Development, Land Administration, Division Order, Legal, and Owner Relations.
- Assist in clearing wells on the operations schedule for drilling.
- Contribute new ideas and perspectives to daily development decisions and operational challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Energy Land Management, Petroleum Land Management, Business Administration, or a Master of Business Administration.
- Enrollment in a Juris Doctorate program is also accepted, preferably with a concentration in Energy Law or Coal, Oil and Gas Law.
- Previous experience working on projects in the energy or oil and gas sectors where project management and attention to detail were required.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid 12-week internship.
- The role is remote, with the exception of residents in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York.
- This position follows a rolling term.
