About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers students the chance to gain practical experience within our IT division. You will work alongside a mentor to solve real-world problems and contribute to our ongoing IT initiatives. The program focuses on professional development, networking, and hands-on technical work in a collaborative team environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist team members with Log Management activities and participate in special projects.
- Follow established logging standards and documented procedures.
- Support task automation and process improvement efforts.
- Build professional relationships with peers and end users while managing expectations through predefined processes.
- Engage with company leaders to learn about our IT strategy.
- Participate in social events and activities to build your professional network.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or related IT degree program with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028, or completion of a formal technical bootcamp by May 2027.
- Applied proficiency in Java, JavaScript, React, SQL, or Python.
- Prior experience or knowledge in software or application development.
- A commitment to incorporating security into all job responsibilities.
- Ability to work a 40-hour week for the full 10-week duration.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Preferred: Experience with Splunk, SIEM tools, log analysis, or scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Preferred: Leadership experience in team projects or extracurricular activities and strong customer service skills.
Location & details#
- Location: St. Louis, Missouri.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24, 2027 to July 30, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid. You must reside in the St. Louis area for the duration of the program and be able to come onsite weekly as needed.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
