About the role#
We are looking for an Industrial Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Bedford, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, six-month assignment beginning in January 2027. You will work alongside industrial engineers, production managers, and process engineers to support manufacturing and materials process optimization.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate current processes to find opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct time studies and build capacity models for critical equipment.
- Support daily Gemba walks and update standard operating procedures.
- Maintain and update master data within SAP.
- Participate in projects focused on reducing scrap, decreasing cycle times, and increasing productivity.
- Use Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Copilot to create data visualization dashboards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or a related field.
- A data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience or interest in using Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Ability to adapt to diverse team environments and communicate effectively.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment and comply with all gowning requirements.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.
Location & details#
- Location: Bedford, MA.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
