About the role#
Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship based in Simsbury, Connecticut. You will work within the Electronics Operations team to support product engineering, continuous improvement, and manufacturing cell design.
What you'll do#
- Assist in solving manufacturing problems and investigating process failures.
- Implement corrective actions to address production issues.
- Support the implementation of Lean methodologies, including standard work, point of use tooling, material presentation, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with production personnel, such as operators, quality inspectors, and shop floor supervisors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate engineering degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with CAD software is preferred.
- Hands-on experience using manufacturing tools is preferred.
