About the role#
Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is hiring a Development Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Simsbury, Connecticut. You will work on electrical project support and gain hands-on experience in a development lab environment.
What you'll do#
- Design and fabricate test article instrumentation.
- Perform circuit analysis, PCB design, and electrical database administration.
- Handle harnessing, soldering, and testing tasks.
- Conduct hands-on testing of electronic assemblies.
- Participate in environmental and dynamic testing for development, qualification, and production assemblies.
- Assess technical risks and support the execution of risk mitigation plans.
- Write technical reports for complex development tests and analyses.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program.
- Junior standing at the time of application.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
