About the role#
Energy Toolbase is hiring two interns for our Web Applications teams. This is a 16-month, full-time, paid internship running from May 2027 through August 2028. One intern will join the Monitor team, and the other will join the Developer team. You will work on software that models, controls, and monitors distributed energy storage and photovoltaic systems. You will gain experience with edge device configuration and energy storage project modeling.
What you'll do#
- Write software using appropriate development methodologies.
- Design, implement, and test features using our internal development tools.
- Find and fix defects in release development and production systems.
- Write unit tests for new functionality.
- Collaborate with Product Management and User Experience teams to deliver features.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, high-level design, sizing, estimating, code reviews, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 3rd year of a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with software programming languages.
- Experience with Linux systems and Docker containerization.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
