About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship based in Hartford, Connecticut. You will work full-time from June 2, 2027, to August 6, 2027. This is an on-site role that requires you to commute to our office. You will be paired with a manager, a mentor, and an executive sponsor to guide your project work. At the end of the program, you will present your findings to business leaders.
What you'll do#
- Analyze client data to develop pension plan liabilities.
- Prepare ERISA funding valuations and government filings.
- Assist with cost projections, plan design optimization, and non-discrimination testing.
- Build tools and models to improve actuarial workflows.
- Perform actuarial research and statistical analysis.
- Reconcile census changes and track associated gains or losses.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work on-site in Hartford, CT.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Pursuing a degree in Mathematics or Statistics.
