About the role#
Emigrant Bank is hiring a Capital Markets Intern to work within our private banking division. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Executive Vice President. You will support the team with analytical tasks and administrative preparation for senior leadership and committee meetings.
What you'll do#
- Prepare materials for Board of Director meetings and Account Review Committee sessions.
- Create daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly Excel reports covering banking activity, loan origination, and interest rates.
- Perform credit analysis on Corporate and Municipal bonds and participate in credit committee meetings.
- Analyze prospective client portfolios to help develop proposals.
- Assist with Interest Rate Swap market-to-market and margin posting, mortgage pricing, bank liquidity reporting, and foreign currency hedging.
- Prepare responses for regulatory and audit agencies.
- Gain experience using the BNY Pershing NetX360 custodian platform.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Close attention to detail.
- A desire to learn complex financial concepts.
- An MBA or advanced education is a plus.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Midtown, New York, NY.
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- The pay range is $25 to $30 per hour based on experience.
