About the role#
As a Social Media Content Manager Intern, you will help build an online presence for our outpatient mental health clinic in Pittsburgh. You will work with the Clinic Owner to drive brand awareness and support our local referral partnerships. This role focuses on promoting our mental health services while reflecting our core values of authenticity, humor, and compassion.
What you'll do#
- Build a multi-month social media content calendar with weekly posts.
- Create high-quality, thoughtful content for our social channels.
- Schedule all posts using our content management tool.
- Engage with users in a way that matches our brand voice.
- Prepare periodic engagement reports for the Clinic Owner.
- Assist with additional marketing tasks, such as creating a periodic newsletter.
What you'll need#
- Interest in managing content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- A portfolio demonstrating your ability to manage social media accounts.
- Ability to work independently and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Passion for therapy and mental health awareness.
- Strong communication skills to moderate and encourage community conversations.
- A balance of creativity and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Skills in social media copywriting and capturing images or video.
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or Graphic Design.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid and remote position based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- You may occasionally visit the clinic in Wexford to capture content.
- The role is unpaid and requires approximately 5 to 15 hours per week.
- The term is flexible, typically lasting 2 to 3 months on a rolling basis.
