About the role#
Ecolab is hiring a Technical Sales Intern for our Animal Health business during the summer of 2027. This 11-week paid internship provides hands-on experience in the agriculture industry. You will work with dairy producers and distribution partners to address milk quality and udder health challenges. You will also learn about biosecurity offerings for dairy, poultry, and swine farms. Successful interns may be considered for full-time Associate Account Manager roles upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside Account Managers in customer farm environments to learn daily responsibilities and assist with sanitation plans.
- Develop business relationships with farm and distribution partner staff.
- Use mechanical aptitude to repair, adjust, test, and install chemical dispensing systems.
- Evaluate milking equipment performance and monitor chemical concentration levels.
- Provide training to customers regarding milk quality, standard operating procedures, and environmental safety.
- Complete value-added projects throughout the summer and present findings to leadership.
- Prospect for new business and introduce service offerings to existing accounts.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Food Science, Dairy and Animal Science, Animal Health, Data Science, or Biomedical Sciences.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds chest high.
