About the role#
Join our RF Product Development team to support the prototyping, testing, and debugging of RF components and assemblies. This role focuses on building software and scripts to automate ground-based RF test systems, manage data acquisition, and improve fault analysis workflows.
What you'll do#
- Support the prototyping, integration, and bring-up of RF components and assemblies in the lab.
- Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing on RF hardware.
- Troubleshoot and debug RF circuits, assemblies, and test setups to find the root cause of failures.
- Design and write software scripts to automate test systems and reduce manual work.
- Program data acquisition routines to collect measurements from equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
- Develop algorithms to process data for fault detection and anomaly identification.
- Document all test procedures, automation scripts, and analysis methods to ensure knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with engineers to turn manual test processes into automated workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree program.
- Foundational knowledge of RF and microwave concepts such as S-parameters, signal chains, and impedance matching.
- Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C#, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with instrument control or automation frameworks like PyVISA, SCPI, or LabVIEW.
- Basic understanding of data analysis techniques including statistical analysis or signal processing.
- Ability to work on-site in a laboratory environment.
