As an Assistant Director for Student Affairs, you will join a team focused on fostering belonging, connection, and well-being for new students and their families. This role involves advising student leaders, managing communications strategy, and facilitating onboarding programs to help new students navigate their transition to the university.
What you'll do#
- Advise student leaders on the design and implementation of Orientation Week and related experiential projects.
- Organize and curate content for the Virtual Blue Book for incoming first-year and transfer students.
- Develop and implement a social media strategy to support student onboarding and university initiatives.
- Design and facilitate training sessions for students, faculty, and staff regarding the new student matriculation process.
- Support initiatives that advance the campuswide commitment to belonging, engagement, and well-being.
- Collaborate with campus partners to produce communications for students, families, and alumni, including newsletters and webinar series.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of experience in college or university administration, personnel management, or a related field.
- Experience supporting program management, student advising, and administrative operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Psychology, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
