About the role#
The Student Echo Tech provides limited echocardiology services under the supervision of a licensed sonographer. You will support patient care units by assisting with clinical tasks and maintaining department workflows. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with echocardiograms for pediatric and adult patients.
- Complete documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Monitor inventory levels to keep supplies stocked.
- Support the efficient operation and workflow of the department.
- Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited echo sonography program.
- Completion of the first year or fundamentals of echo sonography.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Preferred majors include Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Health Administration, or Public Health.
