About the role#
Dreamwear is looking for a Product Development Intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. You will work directly with our Product Development team, which acts as the primary contact between our factories and our internal design group. This role provides an opportunity to learn how we manage pricing, lead times, and quality for our apparel lines.
What you'll do#
You will support the daily operations of the product development process. Your tasks include:
- Opening and distributing incoming packages from factories.
- Signing in new fit samples and delivering them to the fit department.
- Attending fittings to observe how garment fit, fabrics, and styling influence costs and production timelines.
- Sending lab dips, strike offs, and pre-production comments to factories.
- Updating product maintenance screens and filing documentation.
- Distributing new order CADs to the sales, design, and product development teams.
- Coordinating with the graphics team on hangtags, photos, and packing methods.
- Preparing samples for customer and market appointments.
- Keeping the customer closet and category sample racks organized.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, or Manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work 3 full days per week.
