About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection team in Medford, Oregon. This role supports the management and inspection of civil infrastructure projects. You will work alongside engineers and construction professionals to monitor project progress and assist with technical tasks.
What you'll do#
- Research and document existing site conditions through site visits.
- Perform engineering calculations to support construction projects.
- Monitor the quality and progress of work at construction sites.
- Assist survey crews with their daily tasks.
- Inspect transportation and heavy civil projects.
- Help with the in-service inspection of structures like bridges, walls, culverts, and tanks.
- Handle other engineering duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- At least one to two years of college coursework toward a degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or construction engineering technology.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work with geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistics.
- Ability to interpret technical journals and instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect data and draw conclusions.
- Prior work experience in construction or civil engineering is helpful.
