About the role#
Doherty Enterprises is seeking a creative Marketing Intern to join our team at the Corporate Support Center in Allendale, New Jersey. This is a hands-on role where you will work with our Marketing Team to support a variety of projects across our restaurant brands. You will gain experience in digital content, community outreach, guest engagement, email marketing, and local restaurant initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on local marketing campaigns and special projects.
- Build and distribute guest email campaigns using tools like Mailchimp.
- Gather and organize email marketing analytics and campaign results.
- Monitor and respond to guest reviews on platforms including Google, Yelp, OpenTable, and Facebook.
- Support sponsorship, donation, and community partnership requests.
- Coordinate community programs, events, and local marketing initiatives.
- Attend community events as a brand representative.
- Update website content and manage third-party delivery menus and listings.
- Create and distribute marketing materials to restaurant locations.
- Compile marketing data, maintain tracking sheets, and prepare reports.
- Assist with content development for the internal company newsletter.
- Coordinate donation and sponsorship payments with the accounting department.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering and directing phone calls.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Canva.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details.
- A professional demeanor when communicating with guests, restaurant teams, and community partners.
- A guest-service mindset and a positive attitude.
- Comfort learning new technology and digital platforms.
- Ability to work on-site in Allendale, New Jersey.
- Availability to attend occasional community events.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom) or platforms like BentoBox is a plus.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site at our Corporate Support Center in Allendale, New Jersey.
- The position is paid and full-time, with up to 40 hours per week available.
- This is a rolling internship term.
