About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Arlington, Texas. You will work on-site to acquire new business opportunities within a specific geographic region. The role involves prospecting clients, managing a sales funnel, and building relationships with customers. You will work alongside IT, software, and print specialists to identify and cultivate new business.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply various sales methods including cold calling, door-to-door sales, and presentations.
- Create and test new sales strategies.
- Assess customer needs to build productive, long-term relationships.
- Meet individual and team sales targets.
- Research and follow up on sales leads while keeping in touch with prospects.
- Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and events to keep up with industry trends.
- Use financial and statistical data to provide feedback to management.
- Manage and expand a client database in your assigned territory.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to show the value of equipment and software solutions.
What you'll need#
- An outgoing personality and a willingness to learn.
- Strong skills in prospecting and strategic planning.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- A High School Diploma or GED. We prefer current enrollment in or completion of a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or Communications.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver license.
- Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of IT, software, or print solutions is helpful.
