About the role#
The Finance/Tax Intern role supports the DIRECTV Finance organization by working on internal tax processes and software. This internship offers experience in tax initiatives related to customer- and company-paid taxes. You will contribute to projects that impact the company net income while working in a remote, cross-functional environment.
What you'll do#
- Conduct analytical work to understand the drivers of California property tax values.
- Perform financial analysis regarding pending tax legislation that impacts the company or customers.
- Produce SQL reporting using Snowflake.
- Support various tax initiatives and internal processes.
- Document processes from ideation to final deliverable.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate or advanced degree program in Finance, Accounting, or Tax.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a virtual, cross-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Experience with SQL and Power BI is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a 10-week, full-time remote internship.
- The program runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027, or June 14, 2027, to August 20, 2027.
- This position is paid at a rate of $25 to $34 per hour, depending on academic status.
- Applicants must have full U.S. work authorization now and in the future.
