About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience building and maintaining software that supports healthcare delivery. You will join an engineering team to develop, test, and enhance applications while learning how AI, automation, and modern development practices improve software delivery.
What you'll do#
- Design and build software applications that support customer and business needs.
- Write, test, and maintain code while learning practices for building secure, scalable, and reliable software.
- Use AI-dev tools to improve development efficiency and support software quality.
- Collaborate with Product teams to understand requirements and solve customer challenges.
- Contribute to the development and integration of APIs, application components, and data-driven functionality.
- Test and troubleshoot software to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, agile development practices, and team discussions.
- Research emerging technologies and development approaches.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering degree program.
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Curiosity and motivation to explore AI capabilities and apply them to customer challenges.
- Ability to collaborate within a team and communicate technical ideas clearly.
