    About the role#

    This position supports the MUS-150 and MUS-150L courses for the Fall 2026 term. The Teaching Assistant (TA) assists the instructor with classroom operations, student mentorship, and grading. This is a paid, part-time, on-site role based in Redmond, Washington.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the instructor in the classroom with tasks such as equipment setup, operating slide decks, and facilitating presentations.
    • Support students with class assignments, software, and hardware during lab sessions and outside of class.
    • Perform pre-grading of coursework and assist with grading duties.
    • Manage administrative tasks including taking attendance.
    • Meet regularly with the instructor to receive performance feedback and discuss duty modifications.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be a current, matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
    • Maintain Good Academic Standing (not on Academic Warning) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
    • Demonstrate proficiency with course materials, concepts, and tools.
    • Be comfortable interacting with other students in a mentorship capacity.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs, with the role requiring approximately 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Redmond, Washington. You must reside in the State of Washington to perform this work.
    • Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to April 23, 2026).
    • Hours: 5 to 10 hours per week.
    • Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on the number of terms worked at the institution.
    • Note: Students are not permitted to work during any time they have a scheduled class.
