About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is hiring a Student Teaching Assistant for DES-214 for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, part-time position based on our Redmond campus. You will work directly with the instructor to support students during lab sessions and office hours.
What you'll do#
- Attend the full DES-214 lab session every week on Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.
- Assist students with their projects and check off their progress.
- Attend a weekly 30-minute training session.
- Track and report your hours worked.
- Help with equipment setup, slide decks, and student presentations as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen.
- You must have previously passed DES-214 or DES-240 with a grade of B or better.
- You need to be available to work during lab times with no class conflicts.
- You must be able to work in-person on the Redmond campus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor are essential.
- You should be prepared to arrive on time and focus on student success.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31, 2026 to December 18, 2026).
- Hours: Approximately 4 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Eligibility: Applicants should be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Academic waivers may be available for candidates who do not meet all requirements.
