About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for DES-205-A Game History (Savage) for the Fall 2026 term. This position supports the instructor in classroom management, student mentorship, and course administration. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Candidates should have previously completed DES-205 with a grade of B or better.
What you'll do#
- Assist with room setup and equipment operation at the start and end of class.
- Consult with the instructor on course content, assignments, and student progression.
- Provide constructive feedback to students regarding their work.
- Help students with questions regarding lecture or lab material.
- Meet with students online if required.
- Liaise with IT for technical support or supplies as needed.
- Track and report hours worked.

- Proven proficiency with the course material.
- A positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others excel.
- Ability to work independently and interact with students on an instructional level.
- Access to a laptop during course time.
- Full availability to attend lectures and labs.
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to providing critique.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: August 31 to December 4, 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Hours: 5 to 10 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, depending on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
- Required Class Attendance: Tuesdays (12:00 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.) and Fridays (10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.).
- Note: Students must reside within the State of Washington. Employment is not permitted during any time when a student is scheduled for a class.
