    About the role#

    This position is for a Student Teaching Assistant for DES-205-A Game History (Savage) during the Fall 2026 term. The role involves supporting the instructor with classroom operations, grading, and student mentorship. This is a paid, on-site student employment opportunity based in Redmond, Washington. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology and reside within the State of Washington.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with room setup and equipment operation at the start and end of class.
    • Consult with the instructor on course content, assignments, and student progression.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students regarding their work.
    • Help students with questions related to lecture or lab material.
    • Meet with students online or in person as required.
    • Track and report hours worked.

    What you'll need#

    • Proven proficiency with the course material and a minimum grade of B in DES-205.
    • Full availability to attend all lectures and labs (Tuesday 12:00-1:20 p.m. and Friday 10:00-11:50 a.m.).
    • A positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others excel.
    • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
    • Access to a laptop during course time.
    • Good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

    • Location: Redmond, Washington, USA.
    • Term: August 31 – December 4, 2026.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Hours: 5-10 hours per week.
    • Compensation: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, depending on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
