About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is hiring a Student Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 term for DES-115 Intro to Game Design. This is a part-time, paid position. You will work 5 to 10 hours per week from September 21 to December 11, 2026. This role is remote, but you must reside within the State of Washington to be eligible.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor during lectures and labs, including equipment setup and operation.
- Facilitate student presentations and answer questions during lab sessions.
- Grade weekly assignments and projects, ensuring consistency and clarity in your feedback.
- Pre-grade assessments and submit attendance sheets.
- Meet regularly with the instructor for feedback and duty planning.
- Hold office hours to assist students outside of scheduled class times.
- Track and report your hours worked.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- You must have previously taken and passed DES-115.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and good academic standing are required.
- You must be available to work during the designated lab times without any class conflicts.
- Proficiency with the course material and a willingness to help others learn.
- Comfort interacting with peers on an instructional level.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote for students residing in Washington State.
- Lecture times are Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:20 p.m.
- Lab times are Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. or Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.
- You are not permitted to work during any time you have a scheduled class.
