About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 term to support the DES-101 Principles of Interactive Design course. This is a paid, on-site position based in Redmond, Washington. The role requires 10 hours of work per week and involves close collaboration with the instructor to support classroom operations and student learning.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor in the classroom as requested.
- Set up and operate equipment for lectures, such as running slide decks.
- Facilitate student presentations during class sessions.
- Answer student questions during labs and provide mentorship.
- Pre-grade assessments and submit attendance sheets.
- Meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback and duty coordination.
- Track and report hours worked accurately.
What you'll need#
- Current matriculated student status at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Proven proficiency with the DES-101 course material, specifically having passed the course with a grade of B or better.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- A positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others excel.
- Comfort interacting with peers on an instructional level as a mentor.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to maintain focus during work hours.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington. You must reside in the state of Washington to be eligible for this role.
- Term: September 1, 2026, to December 17, 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on the number of terms previously worked at DigiPen.
- Note: Students are not permitted to work during any time they have a scheduled class.
