About the role#
The Teaching Assistant for DES-100-B Lab 2 (Cronk) supports the instructor during the Fall 2026 term. This position involves assisting students in person on campus, managing grading tasks, and providing mentorship to students enrolled in the course. TAs work between 5 and 10 hours per week and are required to attend at least one lab section in its entirety.
What you'll do#
- Grade student work and provide constructive, clear feedback.
- Assist students during in-person labs and potentially meet with them online if requested.
- Upload grades to Moodle and ensure assignments are returned in a timely manner.
- Track and report hours worked and attend weekly meetings with the instructor for performance feedback.
- Assist with classroom needs such as equipment setup, facilitating presentations, and submitting attendance sheets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Completion of DES-100 with a grade of B or better.
- Proven proficiency with Unity and visual scripting.
- A positive attitude toward learning and the ability to mentor other students.
- Ability to maintain focus during work hours and circulate the classroom during labs.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

- Compensation: Paid position ($17.13 - $18.25 per hour, depending on terms worked at DigiPen).
- Requirements: Applicants must reside within the state of Washington and cannot work during scheduled class times.
