DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant (TA) for the DES-100-B Lab 2 course during the Fall 2026 term. This position supports the instructor by facilitating lab sessions, grading student work, and providing mentorship to students. This is a paid, on-site role requiring 5-10 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist students in person during campus labs and answer questions as needed.
- Grade student assignments and upload results to Moodle in a timely, consistent, and clear manner.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their work.
- Support the instructor with classroom tasks, such as equipment setup or facilitating presentations.
- Meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback and duty coordination.
- Track and report hours worked accurately.
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Proven proficiency with Unity and visual scripting.
- Completion of DES-100 with a grade of B or better.
- A positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others excel.
- Ability to interact with students on an instructional level as a mentor.
- Must be able to attend at least one lab section in its entirety.
- Ability to arrive on time and maintain complete focus during work hours.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington, USA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Must not conflict with your class schedule. Lab hours are Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:20 p.m.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; requires occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Compensation: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
