About the role#
The Computer Science Department at DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 term to support CS-370 Computer Imaging. This role involves assisting students with course material, grading assignments, and providing lab support. The position requires a commitment of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist students with programming assignments and debugging.
- Hold office hours or lab support sessions.
- Grade assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects using instructor-provided rubrics.
- Help students understand image-processing concepts, including filtering, histograms, Fourier transforms, and noise reduction.
- Support final project presentations and course administration.
What you'll need#
- Must be a graduate student or advanced undergraduate student in Computer Science or a related field.
- Must have previously completed CS-370 or CS-570 at DigiPen Institute of Technology with a grade of B or better.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, or Python.
- Solid understanding of image processing and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Preferred: Previous teaching or tutoring experience and familiarity with libraries such as OpenCV, NumPy, or SciPy.

- Compensation: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on experience at the institution.
- Note: Student employees must reside within the State of Washington and are not permitted to work during scheduled class times.
