About the role#
This Teaching Assistant position supports the CS-231 course instructed by Ben Ellinger during the Fall 2026 term. The role involves assisting with classroom operations, facilitating student learning, and providing academic support. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 3-5 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist students during lab sessions and scheduled office hours.
- Grade student work and provide constructive, professional feedback.
- Facilitate student presentations and offer critique.
- Maintain regular contact with assigned student teams.
- Assist the instructor with classroom tasks such as equipment setup and submitting attendance.
- Track and report hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Completion of GAM-250.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to solve technical problems independently.
- A positive attitude and willingness to mentor other students.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington. You must reside within the State of Washington to perform this work.
- Term: August 31 to December 15, 2026.
- Schedule: Availability is required during lab sessions on Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Note: You may not work during any time when you have a scheduled class. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks such as sitting, walking, and standing.
