About the role#
This position supports the CS-231 course during the Fall 2026 term under the supervision of Ben Ellinger. The role involves assisting with classroom operations, grading, and providing mentorship to students. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position requiring 3-5 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist students during lab sessions, specifically on Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Grade student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Offer support during office hours outside of class time.
- Maintain regular contact with assigned student teams.
- Assist the instructor with classroom setup, equipment operation, and facilitating presentations.
- Track and report hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Completion of GAM-250.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to solve technical problems independently.
- A professional approach to giving critiques and mentoring peers.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs, stooping, or reaching as needed for equipment setup.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington. Students must reside in Washington to perform this work.
- Term: August 31, 2026, to December 15, 2026.
- Wage: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at the institution.
- Note: Students are not permitted to work during any time they are scheduled for a class.
